Child Safety Standards

1. Our Commitment to Child Safety

Circles Music Discovery (circles.my) is a music discovery platform built around community, connection, and creative expression. We are deeply committed to creating a safe, respectful, and age-appropriate environment for all users — especially minors.

We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in any form. This policy sets out the standards, mechanisms, and obligations that govern how Circles protects children on our platform.

2. Standards Against Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE)

Circles explicitly prohibits:

• Sexual content involving minors in any form
• Grooming behaviors, solicitation, or exploitation of minors
• Sharing, distributing, or linking to child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
• Using our platform to facilitate contact with minors for exploitative purposes
• Any content that sexualizes, degrades, or endangers children

These behaviors are grounds for immediate account termination and will be reported to the appropriate authorities, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) as required by law.

3. Addressing Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM)

Circles takes the following steps to detect, remove, and report CSAM:

• We proactively monitor content shared on the platform for material that violates child safety laws.
• Any confirmed CSAM is immediately removed and reported to NCMEC via the CyberTipline, in compliance with 18 U.S.C. § 2258A.
• We cooperate fully with law enforcement investigations related to child safety.
• Accounts found to be sharing or distributing CSAM are permanently banned without appeal.

If you encounter any content you believe may be CSAM, please report it immediately using our in-app reporting tool or by emailing feedback@circles.my.

4. In-App Feedback and Reporting Mechanism

Circles allows users to interact with one another through comments and private messages. We provide accessible reporting tools in both areas so that any child safety concern can be flagged immediately.

To report a comment:

• Tap and hold or press the “…” icon on any comment
• Select “Report” and choose “Inappropriate Content”
• Submit your report — our moderation team will review it promptly

To report a private message:

• Open the conversation and tap the “…” or flag icon
• Select “Report Conversation” and choose the relevant reason
• Submit your report — the conversation will be reviewed confidentially

You may also report concerns directly to feedback@circles.my. All reports are treated confidentially and reviewed as a priority.

We also encourage users to block any account that makes them feel unsafe. Blocking immediately prevents further contact via comments or private messages.

5. Compliance with Child Safety Laws

Circles is committed to complying with all applicable child safety laws and regulations, including but not limited to:

• The Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)
• The PROTECT Our Children Act
• Mandatory reporting obligations under 18 U.S.C. § 2258A (NCMEC CyberTipline reporting)
• Applicable local laws in the jurisdictions where our users are located

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13 without verifiable parental consent. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal information without such consent, we will delete that information promptly.

6. Age-Appropriate Experience

Circles takes steps to ensure the platform experience is appropriate for all age groups:

• Users are required to confirm their age at registration
• Content moderation policies are applied across all user-generated content
• We encourage parents and guardians to have open conversations with their children about online safety and responsible use of music discovery platforms
